Easter 2012

Easter is one of my favorite holidays mostly because I LOVE the candy and I like any excuse to buy clothes.  After St. Patrick's Day Lucas has asked me each day if it was Easter Day so once we reached Easter weekend he was so excited.  It all started with an Easter egg hunt at preschool, and then we were able to have a fun Easter Party with some friends from church.  Penny and I started the Easter egg hunt by pointing out where the eggs were.  We filled up her little basket and I told her it was time to sit down.  I opened her first egg and she ate the candy, and then she stood up ran off and started collecting more eggs.  Each egg she found she sat down ate the candy and then ran to the next egg sat down ate the candy and it kept going all morning.

Easter Sunday was nice and we were able to spend the day at church, with my family, and with my RI family.

Easter 2011

We had a fabulous Easter that kicked off at the beginning of April when the Easter Bunny arrived at the mall.    Lucas was so excited to see the Bunny, but was disturbed that the he could not talk with him since he went to ask him some questions.  He had planned to ask the Easter Bunny "what do you eat and where do you sleep" (I guess that is what a 4 year old thinks about).  Anyway, he was upset when the conversation was one sided, but things turned around when he got candy and bunny ears.  Needless to say we returned about 5 times, and of course I never had his picture taken.

Then when Easter weekend arrived we were able to spend time with friends as this was our last weekend in Ann Arbor.  Saturday morning we had a brunch as well as an easter egg hunt with our beloved ward friends.  Then that evening we had another Easter Egg and a delicious dinner with more friends.

Late Saturday night Mom arrived so it was very nice to have her for the holiday.  Sadly Sunday morning I  did not take pictures, but the Easter Bunny did visit our house and left plenty of candy as well as a alphabet magnet for both kiddos.  Although,  Lucas believes it is just his and pushes it high enough on the refrigerator so Penny cannot play with it.   No pictures of their Easter outfits because we are always late for church and then after church we are not focused enough, but I assure you they looked darling.

That evening we invited ourselves over to one of our favorite friend's house for dinner.  Then on Monday we dyed easter eggs with one of Lucas's best friends.
very focused on finding the eggs

My cute boys, I love them!  It was not raining that day it was actually beautiful Lucas just insisted on wearing his rain boots.
